In order for a travel and entertainment (T&E) reimbursement to be processed prior to winter closure, the related Concur expense report must have an Approved & In Accounting Review status by 5 p.m. PT Wednesday, December 3. Reports reach this status once they have completed all departmental approval steps and been routed to Travel Accounting for final review and processing.

UC Travel Center Offering Travel Sessions on Dec. 2

The UC Travel Center will offer two Travel Sessions on December 2, 2019.

Select from two sessions: Morning (9 a.m. – noon) or Afternoon (1 p.m. – 4 p.m.)

Morning session:

9 – 9:05 a.m. Introduction by Diana Rapista

9:05 – 9:45 a.m. Traveler Insurance/Export Control: Join our special guests, Tara Brown from UCLA Insurance and Risk Management,  for a  discussion on travel security and insurance program when traveling on behalf of the University, and Ann Pham from Export Control Office for a discussion of what you need to know when traveling abroad, especially to sanctioned countries.

9:50 – 10:30 a.m. Travel Accounting: General overview of travel reimbursement policy, with focus on common expense types, receipt requirements, UCLA campus guidelines and frequent reasons for delay, presented by Mindy Dietrich, Lead Auditor.

10:35 – 11:15 a.m. UC Travel Center: Overview of new UC Travel Center services: Hotel Virtual Payment/Hotel Direct Bill, Meeting and Group Planning, Leisure Referral Program and Concur (our recently launched Online Booking Tool).

11:20 a.m. – Noon Car Insurance & Travel Perks (Why Connexxus): Yasmin Sidi from UCOP Central Travel Office will highlight the significance of UC’s car rental program and share value-added benefits airlines and hotels offer to UC travelers: priority boarding, preferred standby, upgrade opportunities and much more.
