UC Travel Center (UCTC) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for our instructor-led focus training sessions for travel on UCLA business.

Where: Room 11360, Charles E Young Research Library, 280 Charles E Young Dr N, Los Angeles CA 90095 (Main Conference Room)

When: Wed, December 12, 2018 - Select from 2 sessions: Morning (9 a.m. - noon) or Afternoon (1- 4 p.m.)

Registration required: Go to www.lms.ucla.edu and search for the course code: “LACCHR1160”or the course title “Travel Basic Workshop” by clicking on the icon that says “Find A course” on the homepage.

Morning Session

9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Travel Perks (Why Connexxus): Airlines, hotels and car rental companies offer UC travelers plenty of value-added benefits such as: priority boarding or preferred standby; access to seat maps before they open to the public; and much more. Presented by Yasmin Sidi – UCOP Central Travel Office

9:40 a.m. – 10:10 a.m. Traveler Insurance/Export Control: Join our special guests, Tara Brown from UCLA Insurance and Risk Management (discussion on what means to ‘be covered’ when traveling on behalf of the University) and Ann Pham from Export Control Office (discussion of what you need to know when traveling abroad, especially to sanctioned countries)

10:20 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. Travel Accounting: Frequently Asked Questions on reimbursements, express system, audit requirements, per diem rates, etc. Presented by Mindy Dietrich, Lead Auditor

11 a.m. – Noon UC Travel Center: Overview of UC Travel Policy (G-28) for air travel, hotel, car rental, car and driver transportation as well as additional services available thru UC Travel Center (meeting and group travel desk, etc.). Presented by UC Travel Team
